"Conga Jesus" by Rodin the Younger, in his early "heretic" phase. This
was followed by the performance piece "burnt at the stake", the
defining work of his short career.

(

)

it so happens that i've found that site. The only info i learnt
relevant to my site is that the Dancing Christs and the Rocking Cock
are by Herman Makkink.

There are quite a few not identified:

• the open-legged woman painting in Alex's room.
• the location or source of the dancing children sculpture.
• the apartment ground floor mural.
• the 8 paintings in the cat woman's house.

I think the dancing children is a Fascist Nazi propaganda work by some
Nazi approved sculptor. The building you see burning in the background
is somewhere in Berlin during the allied bombings.

after som more searching, it seems to me that the dancing children
sculpture scene is originally from the film:
Stalingrad: Dogs, Do You Want to Live Forever? (Hunde, wollt ihr ewig
leben?), a 1958 West German film directed by Frank Wisbar

can anyone confirm?

oh wait... it couldn't be... because i suppose the burning bulding is
films of the battle of Stalingrad, which is in 1942-1943.

Thanks. After your tip with some web search, it's pretty clear now this
http://archive.salon.com/books/feature/2001/03/28/stalingrad/index1.html
http://katardat.org/marxuniv/2002-SUWW2/Images/images10-Stalingrad.html
(bottom)
)
• what was the sculpture for? who is the sculptor? (some forum said
that “The statue is based on a Russian fairy tale or children's song
that says 'don't go to Africa, there are crocodiles there that eat
children.'”)
• what's the precise location of the scultpure? i.e. what's the
burning bulding behind?
• there seems to be a real footage of flim of this scene (with
building burning behind) Who filmed it for what? (e.g. was it news
report?)

a mural in Batman...
Almost certainly the work of one of the three credited scenic artists.
Since the movie is full of such images, it's unlikely that it was done by
someone from "outside."

Name the movie that features a painting of the back of Grace Kelly's head.
